Text Message Program
PackRounds is a booking service operated by Anvil Road LLC. This page explains the text messages PackRounds sends, how you agree to get them, and how to stop them.
What the messages are
PackRounds sends texts about one booking you made. There are five kinds, and no others:
- Your booking is confirmed
- A reminder before it starts
- Your booking moved to a new time
- Your booking was cancelled
- A new booking, sent to the business you booked with
We never send marketing texts. There is no newsletter, no offer, and no promotion on this number. Every message is caused by a booking you are part of.
How you agree
You agree on the booking form itself. Email is chosen for you, and text is never chosen for you. A phone number on its own is not agreement, and the phone field is optional.
When you pick Text or Email and text, this appears right below the choice, before you book:
PackRounds will text you for [business name] about this booking: confirmation, reminders and any changes. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help.
You then submit the booking. There is no separate marketing box, because there are no marketing messages.
What a message looks like
Every text opens with the product name, so you know who is writing:
- PackRounds: booked with Happy Tails Walks. 30 Minute Walk, Tue 2 Sep at 9:00 AM.
- PackRounds: reminder. 30 Minute Walk with Happy Tails Walks, Tue 2 Sep at 9:00 AM.
- PackRounds: your 30 Minute Walk with Happy Tails Walks has moved to Wed 3 Sep at 10:00 AM.
- PackRounds: your 30 Minute Walk with Happy Tails Walks on Tue 2 Sep at 9:00 AM is cancelled.
- PackRounds: new booking. Sarah M., 30 Minute Walk, Tue 2 Sep at 9:00 AM.
No text ever contains a link. If a message says it is from PackRounds and asks you to tap something, it is not from us.
No text ever contains an access code. A business can store a gate code, an alarm code or a health note about your pet. Those are encrypted, and they are never put in a text message.
How often
Only when something happens to your booking. A typical booking produces two or three messages in total.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message. You get one reply confirming it, and then nothing else. Reply START to turn them back on, or HELP for help.
You can also switch back to email at any time by telling the business you booked with. If you stop texts, your booking is not affected. We email you instead.
Cost
PackRounds does not charge for texts. Message and data rates from your phone carrier may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your information
Your phone number is used to send you these messages and nothing else. It is not sold, and it is not shared for anyone else's marketing. See the privacy policy for the full picture, and the terms for the rest of the service.
